POKHARA: An army sustained injuries while defusing a bomb near Gandaki Provincial Assembly, Nadipur of Pokhara on Thursday morning.
Nepal Army’s Ratna Mandir based Kalibhanyang Battalion Sergeant; Dharma Bahadur Thapa injured his left palm and fingers while he was defusing the bomb planted near the provincial assembly. According to Rabindra Man Gurung, Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police at District Police Office, Pokhara the injured Thapa is being treated at Fish Tail, Hospital Pokhara.
Kaski Police informed that they found another two bombs near Lekhnath army camps.
DSP Gurung said that the bomb near Lekhnath army camp was defused by the bomb disposal squad of the Nepal army and the disposal of the bomb near the provincial assembly is taking place.
The police have suspected the involvement of Chand lead Biplav party in the planting of the bombs.
The bandh announced by Biplav on Thursday has minimal effect on Pokhara. The police have been deploying its forces in various areas of Pokhara for monitoring.
