KATHMANDU: Flights to and from Kathmandu have been disrupted following the closure of the sole runway at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) today morning.
According to TIA official, the runway has been closed to carry out maintenance works and would remain closed until further notice.
The flight operation will resume after the maintenance for the day get completed, TIA said.
The TIA has been carrying out runway rehabilitation from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am since April 1. Usually, the airport is scheduled to be closed for 10 hours a day for another month.
