Rajbiraj, July 19
Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba today inspected flood-ravaged areas in Saptari district.
Former prime minister Deuba was accompanied by the party central leaders Chitralekha Yadav, Mahendra Yadav, Anand Prasad Dhungana and Nepali Congress district president for Saptari Dinesh Kumar Yadav.
The team inspected flood-hit areas in Balan Bihul Rural Municipality, Saptakoshi Municipality, Surunga Municipality, Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality and Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality.
Deuba and his team met flood victims and also observed the flood-hit areas. He flayed the government for its failure to deliver relief materials to the flood victims on time. He pledged to raise the concerns of flood victims in the Parliament.
Talking to mediapersons, Deuba accused the government of adjourning the House meeting when his party had put forward the proposal on support of the flood victims in the Parliament.
Deuba has directed the party’s rank and file to provide help the flood victims.
