Dengue claims three

KATHMANDU: At least three people have died from dengue. The deaths have been reported from Dharan, Chitwan and Doti.

But all the three cases need to be verified as there were high chances for co-morbidity. “There are chances that a patient might have several health problems such as diabetes, kidney failure and high blood pressure,” said Bibek Kumar Lal, director of EDCD.

Elderly and children are highly vulnerable to dengue as they have lower immunity power. Dengue cases are also increasing in the capital city and they are also reported in some hilly districts, he said.
