Ali, Rana selected

KATHMANDU: Rawan Ali and Prama Rana earned berths in the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championship on Tuesday.

Ali defeated Aleb Badgami in the boy’s 52kg section final, while Rana beat Sushila Thapa in the girls’ 48kg weight category.

They will take part in the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championship slated for October 8-17 in the United Arab Emirates.

Congratulating the winners, Nepal Boxing Association President Ram Awale announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 for each bout win in the UAE.
