RJP-N has suspended Sah as lawmaker as per the prevailing law of the land till his time in custody. Sah will lose his authority to function as a lawmaker as long as he remains in custody. A notice issued by the Parliament Secretariat today stated that Sah would lose his prerogative to function as lawmaker and he will not be entitled to receive salary or any facility for the time he spends in custody.

RJP-N cadres and leaders today staged a demonstration in front of Buddha Air office in Adarshanagar of Birgunj demanding that lawmaker Sah, who was elected to the House of Representatives from Sarlahi Constituency No 1, be released.

RJP-N General Secretary Shiv Patel said that cadres and leaders aligned with RJP-N Birgunj Municipal Working Committee, Youth Metropolitan Working Committee, Youth Dasta (Force) Working Committee and National Students’ Union had burned tyres in front of Budhha Air Office, padlocked it and staged demonstration.

Police had arrested Sah for vandalising the Buddha Air counter at Janakpur airport for flight delay yesterday. The party has launched a series of agitation in protest.
