KATHMANDU: Minister of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal on Monday said the erroneous maps of Nepal in practice, including that in the National Emblem of Nepal in the Constitution, were a result of the trend of copying and pasting of materials found on Google.
Aryal said so in a meeting of the Parliamentary State Affairs and Good Governance Committee where she represented Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who could not make it to the meeting.
She was responding to lawmakers’ queries on Nepal maps not including the Kalapani region. She, however, said the latest maps published by the Survey Department had rectified the error.
