KATHMANDU: Metropolitan Traffic Police Division has implemented odd-even traffic rule for the closing ceremony of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG), today.
According to the rule, vehicles with only even number plates will be allowed to ply the roads inside the Ring Road.

In a bid to ease traffic congestion to facilitate movement on the last day of the mega sports event, authorities had announced that vehicle-movement during the opening and closing ceremony (December 1 and 10) of the SAG would be based on the odd and even number plate system.
However, this rule shall exempt blue and red plates (ministry vehicles), white plates (government vehicles) and blue plates (diplomatic missions’ vehicles) and emergency vehicles from its sphere of influence.
