Province 3 name, HQ delayed, says CM Dormani Poudel

Hetauda, December 24

Province 3 Chief Minister Dormani Poudel today said that they had delayed naming the province and fixing its headquarters in order to come up with an appropriate decision.

At a meeting with a team led by Gandaki Province Speaker Netranath Adhikari at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Minister, CM Poudel held that they would hold discussion with all stakeholders and name the province and fix its headquarters as these were important topics. He stated that the next meeting of Provincial Assembly would name the province and fix its headquarters.

CM Poudel stressed the need to change working style to establish core values of republicanism. “If we work in the same old style, we cannot fulfil the needs of people,” he added. He stressed the need to work in a new and scientific manner to meet the goals of prosperity and development.

CM Poudel said the provincial government was preparing to start operation of electric vehicles in order to stop the import of fuel. He said construction of a university, a teaching hospital, a stadium, roads, and 48 buildings for Nepal Police were under way in the province.

At the meeting, Gandaki, Adhikari said they had started discussion to figure out solutions to common problems facing different provinces.
