BIRGUNJ: Local businesspersons in Birgunj today donated seven million rupees to purchase a PCR machine to conduct testing of coronavirus infection.
Birgunj Chamber of Commerce Chairperson Gopal Kediya and Birgunj Metropolis Mayor Vijaya Kumar Sarawagi agreed on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today.
“With the installation of new PCR machine, it would help in the fight against the disease in the district,” Mayor Sarawagi expressed optimism.
Likewise, Gopal Kediya said, “As being an integral part of the society, the local entrepreneurs have come forward to help the society in difficult times.”
Keeping the rising cases of COVID-19 in mind, local businesspersons have come forward with the motive of helping local levels to halt the spread of the contagion in the district, Kediya shared.
So far, Nepal has reported 4,085 confirmed cases of coronavirus across the nation.
