DHANGADI, JANUARY 16
Laxman Tharu, who has been sentenced to life imprisonment for his role in the Tikapur carnage by the High Court, said he would start a revolt for justice.
Tharu, who had been underground following the High Court’s verdict, informed about his preparations to take up a revolt at a press conference here today. “While I will also use the legal channel to challenge the High Court’s verdict at the Supreme Court, I will simultaneously raise a revolt from the streets,” he said.
Further, Tharu accused Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of dictating the sentence against him delivered by the court and said, “Any struggle that happens for the sake of justice and rights should be addressed politically.”
On a different note, Tharu accused the prime minster of ditching the nation by dissolving the Parliament. He also dismissed the possibility of talks with the government.
