Radisson Hotel has appointed Sunal Krishna Kabiraj Thakur as the hotel’s new executive chef at an event attended by industry professionals, diplomats, entrepreneurs, and noted public figures.
General manager Subrata Banerjee introduced the new executive chef during the hotel’s ‘Fruit Soaking Event’ on 31 October to officially welcome Christmas season.
The event was held to honur a long-held belief that the fruits used in the Christmas cake, which originated in England, should be soaked and mixed with spices, herbs, wine, beer, rum and whisky for more than a month until Christmas to give it an authentic taste.
