Pedestrian killed in Gaindakot tipper hit

KATHMANDU: A pedestrian died on the spot after a tipper hit her at Gaindakot Municipality-13 of Nawalparasi (East) on Tuesday.

Police have identified the deceased as Chandra Gautam (55) of Shivaghat in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-16 of Chitwan. Gautam was walking along the road when the tipper (Na 4 Kha 8251) hit her, according to police.

Police have detained the driver and impounded the vehicle for further investigation, police said.
